1939 Rover 10

The restoration of a 1939 Rover 10

The Rover 10 was bought by a good friend of mine in 1974 for £50 as scrap. Doug set to and restored the vehicle taking about 10 years with my help. It was put on the road in 1985 and I used it for my wedding. When Doug passed away in 1994 he left me the Rover 10. I used it for a few years before laying it up as it had a bad engine oil leak. Chris Fairburn wanted to buy it off me so reluctantly I sold it to Chris who used it for 2 years just as it was. In 2002 I bought it back and have been doing work on it ever since. I removed the engine and sorted the oil leak, did some body repairs and resprayed it. It is currently awaiting the upholstery.

I have sold the 10 to Osbaldwick Motors as I haven’t time to finish it, too many projects!
